Royal India opened its door for the first time some 45 years ago was the first Indian Restaurant in Thailand.

Since then it has been serving authentic Indian food and sweets to the large Indian community living here. As well as to the lovers of Indian food both local and from all over the world. Over its long history Royal India Restaurant’s founding branch in Phaurad-also known as little India-has won several awards such as ‘Thailand’s Best Restaurant’ award for years 2002 till 2009 from Thailand Tatler magazine. It has also been critically acclaimed by many food critics from all over the world.

A Brief History

The hospitality of the Indians is legendry. In Sanskrit literature the three famous words ‘Atithi Devo Bhavah’ or the guest is truly your god are a dictum of hospitality in India. Indians believe that they are honored if they share their meal times with guests.

Similarly having opened its doors for the first time some 45 years ago Royal India restaurant was the first Indian restaurant to open in Thailand. It has also been critically acclaimed by many food critics from all over the world. In the year 2005 Royal India opened its branch in the famous Siam Paragon Mall. The story of the food remains the same here as its founding branch in Phaurad.

Our Chef has mastered the art of preparing Authentic and Homely Indian cuisine without missing out on its exotic flavor and genre. Indulge yourself in the spices of India which are Chefly prepared by the chefs hailing from India. Whet your appetite by digging into the succulent tender and spicy pieces of Chicken tikka which remains an all time favorite appetizer. For the vegetarians there is the Paneer tikka,a speciality of the chef, who has seen the number of orders increase consistently over the time. For those of you who know the wonders of Paneer (Indian Cottage cheese) there is nothing better than teasing your gastronomical desires with ‘Paneer Makhani’. Enter the main course and there by the grace of God, is abundant to choose from. Lamb curry has not ceased to delight every time you go for it. Palak Paneer do a whole lot of good to your taste buds and your health as well. To go with the curries is the ever-present Naan bread. You can order them stuffed with paneer, potatoes or pasted with garlic. Variety of drinks are available but the house specials are the famous Indian Lassi and the Masala Tea.
